Terms of use

Baiku is a free informational service. By using it you accept these terms.

Information, not advice. Baiku aggregates live and published data from third-party transportation operators and public sources. Vehicle availability, departures, prices and travel times can change faster than any app can show them. Always follow posted signage, operator rules and traffic law; verify times and fares with the operator before relying on them.

Estimates are estimates. Travel times, distances and comparison figures are computed from stated assumptions and are labelled as such in the app. They are not measurements or guarantees.

Third-party data. Live feeds belong to their operators and are shown with attribution. Baiku does not operate any vehicles. Baiku is not sponsored or operated by MCTS, the Milwaukee Transport Services, Bublr Bikes, The Hop, Spin, or any transportation operator, and uses no operator trademarks or logos. Transit data is shown as published at the time of retrieval and is valid only as of the timestamp shown beside it; it is not represented as accurate beyond that.

No accounts, minimal analytics. Baiku has no accounts and stores ride history only on your device. Analytics are limited to anonymous, cookieless visit counts. Baiku sets no cookies and runs no ad tech.

Intellectual property. The Baiku name, mark, design and curated dataset are the property of Baiku. The curated dataset contains identification markers; reproduction or republication of the dataset without written permission is prohibited.

No warranty; limitation of liability. The service is provided as-is, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Baiku is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of the service, including reliance on any information in it.

Fine print: where every number comes from

Bikes & docks
Bublr feed, live, every 60s. Counts are the operator's own.
Bus
MCTS realtime data. Built, not yet switched on — no departures are shown until it is. Predictions, when shown, are MCTS's own. Predictions are MCTS's, not ours. Baiku does not yet check that a route goes where you are going — it shows the next departure from a nearby stop, and says so.
Bus fare
$2.75 adult, $1.25 reduced. Daily cap $8.25, weekly $33, monthly $99 — but capping and transfers require a WisGo card or the Umo app; cash on board gets neither. ridemcts.com/fares.
Bublr price
25¢/min plus a $1 unlock on e-bikes, plus tax. bublrbikes.org/single-ride.
CO₂
400 g/mile — EPA. Shown as if you'd have driven, because we can't know you would have.
Rideshare
Baiku is not affiliated with Uber or Lyft, earns nothing from them, and ranks them below the bus and below walking. Tapping one opens that company's own app with your destination filled in, using their public link format. No account, no key, no referral code.
Search
Destination search checks Baiku's own places, trails and events on your device first. Anything else is geocoded against OpenStreetMap, bounded to the Milwaukee area. The text you type is sent to that service; nothing else about you is, and Baiku stores no search history.
Distance
Street-network distance computed on OpenStreetMap data. The routing profile available is a driving profile, so this is a car-route distance used as a proxy for every mode — it will not follow the Oak Leaf or the Riverwalk. Falls back to straight-line × 1.4, marked ~.
Travel times
Assumptions, not data. 12 mph e-bike, 9 mph bike, 11 mph scooter, 3 mph walk, plus 2 min to find and unlock a vehicle.
Places & trails
Geocoded against OpenStreetMap Aug 2 2026. No discounts are claimed.
Scooters
Spin publishes a working public feed for Milwaukee including per-vehicle charge. On Aug 2 2026 it reported 0 available vehicles in Milwaukee — while showing 426 in Detroit and 432 in Minneapolis.
Charge & range
Real, per vehicle, from Spin's current_fuel_percent and current_range_meters. Bublr publishes none — its feed carries only per-station counts, no vehicle_types and an empty free_bike_status, so e-bike charge is not available for Bublr at all.
Weather
Live. Open-Meteo, free and keyless. Temperature, feels-like, wind speed and direction, hourly rain probability, sunrise and sunset. The headwind figure is the wind component along your heading — it is stated, never silently folded into a travel time.
Events
Wisconsin Bike Fed calendar and venue schedules, read Aug 2 2026. Annual events are listed separately because they have no fixed date.
Bikes returned
Bublr is docked, so a trip ends at a station with a free dock, not at the door. Times include the walk from that dock, and stations not renting or not returning are excluded.
Streetcar
The Hop route, stops and vehicle positions, as published by the operator. Built, not yet switched on. Positions, when shown, are the operator's own. Probed Aug 2 2026: the feed parses; zero active vehicles were reporting at probe time, and absence is shown rather than hidden.

What is real and what is not. Bike data is live. Bus, streetcar and scooter data are built but not yet switched on, and the app says so wherever they appear. Distances, fares and the CO₂ factor are sourced. Travel times are estimates from assumed speeds, marked ~ when the distance was estimated too. Scooters and ride history are empty on purpose until their data can be shown honestly.
